About NGO

A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) is a non-profit organization that operates independently of any government, typically to address social, environmental, or humanitarian issues. NGOs play a crucial role in society by advocating for change, providing essential services, and supporting vulnerable populations. They work in various fields, including education, healthcare, environmental protection, disaster relief, and community development. NGOs rely on donations, grants, and volunteer support to carry out their mission and often collaborate with governments, businesses, and other organizations to achieve their goals.

The Earth Saviours Foundation

The Earth Saviours Foundation (TESF) is a well-known NGO based in Gurugram, India, dedicated to serving the underprivileged and addressing pressing environmental concerns. Founded by the late Ravi Kalra, a renowned social activist, the organization is driven by the motto of “Selfless Service to Humanity and Mother Nature.”

The foundation operates in the following key areas:

  1. Old Age and Abandoned Individuals: TESF provides shelter, care, and medical support to senior citizens and homeless individuals who have been abandoned by their families or society. Their “Gurukul for Destitute” offers a safe haven to people in need.

  2. Environment Protection: The organization actively promotes environmental sustainability through awareness campaigns, tree plantations, and clean-up drives. It is committed to combating pollution and protecting natural resources.

  3. Education and Awareness: TESF organizes workshops and campaigns to educate people about societal issues like waste management, climate change, and the importance of compassion towards marginalized communities.

  4. Support for the Differently-Abled: The foundation also provides a home for individuals with mental and physical disabilities, ensuring they receive proper care and dignity.

Act of Kindness That Changed Someone’s Life

Kindness has a unique way of leaving a lasting impact, and sometimes, a simple gesture can change someone’s life forever. One such story comes from The Earth Saviours Foundation, an NGO committed to supporting less privileged individuals.

During the festive season of Diwali, our organization decided to contribute ₹21,000 to the foundation. The donation was used to host a Langar Prasad event, where food was served to over 1,200 less privileged individuals residing in the NGO’s shelter homes at Bandhwari Village and Mandawar Village, Gurugram.
